Welcome to
Tataciksta Ministries
Guiding couples to a cherished covenant marriage
Pronounced (TahTah Chik Stah) = I Cherish You
The name Tataciksta is a Pawnee term meaning “I cherish you.”
We chose this name as a constant reminder of God’s cherishing love and the power that love has to transform relationships when we learn to reflect it in our own lives.
We believe that when a husband and wife intentionally imitate Christ’s love by choosing to cherish, honor, serve, forgive, and love one another, their marriage can influence generations. A healthy marriage can impact children, families, churches, and communities.
A Cherished Covenant Marriage begins with understanding two important words:
Cherish
To love, protect, care for, adore, and hold dear.
Covenant
A solemn and binding commitment that says, “I will, even when you don’t.”
When these two ideas are centered on Christ, they create a powerful foundation for marriage.
A Cherished Covenant Marriage is more than simply staying together. It is a daily decision to love intentionally, serve selflessly, forgive freely, protect the relationship, and remain committed to one another.
When a husband and wife align their marriage with biblical principles, they cultivate a relationship rooted in love, respect, faithfulness, and purpose. Their marriage becomes a reflection of Christ’s sacrificial love for His Church.
Through prayer, shared faith, forgiveness, humility, and dependence upon God, couples can grow in unity, strength, intimacy, and shared purpose.
A Cherished Covenant Marriage is ultimately about two people choosing to honor God by the way they love and cherish one another.
“Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ..”
Ephesians 5:21
Our Mission
At Tataciksta Ministries, our mission is to strengthen marriages, families, and relationships by helping people discover and live out God’s design for covenant relationships.
Through biblical teaching, educational experiences, discipleship, enrichment retreats, coaching, mentoring, and practical resources, we equip individuals and couples to grow in their relationship with Christ, strengthen their marriage, navigate challenges, practice forgiveness, and experience the transforming power of God’s grace.
Rooted in the biblical principles of Ephesians 5, we believe marriage is designed to reflect the sacrificial love of Christ and His relationship with the Church.
Our desire is to make the love, truth, grace, and hope of Jesus Christ tangible to every person we encounter.
Strengthening marriages. Strengthening families. Strengthening the Church.
Our Statement of Faith
We as a ministry believe…
The Bible
That the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is God’s revelation to humanity and is the final authority for what we believe and how we are to live. We believe Scripture provides the foundation for our faith, our understanding of God, our relationships, our marriages, our families, and our responsibility to one another.
The One True God
That there is one true and living God, the Creator and sovereign Ruler of heaven and earth. He is the Most Holy God and is worthy of all honor, glory, worship, and praise.
We believe that God eternally exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Though distinct in Person, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one God, united in nature, purpose, and glory.
Jesus Christ and Salvation
That Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to earth in the flesh, lived a sinless life, willingly gave Himself on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins, died, was buried, and rose again.
We believe that salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and that salvation is God’s gift, not something that can be earned through human works. Those who repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are forgiven, justified before God, and given the promise of eternal life.
We believe that Jesus Christ will return, and that those who belong to Him will be with Him for eternity.
Marriage
That God designed marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, establishing the husband and wife as one flesh.
We believe marriage is more than a legal arrangement or social institution. It is a covenant relationship established by God and intended to reflect His design for love, faithfulness, sacrifice, unity, and lifelong commitment.
We believe Scripture presents marriage as a picture of the relationship between Christ and His Church. Therefore, healthy marriage has the potential to bear witness to the character of God and to demonstrate the Gospel through the way a husband and wife love, serve, forgive, honor, and remain faithful to one another.
We recognize that divorce brings profound pain and consequences, often extending beyond the husband and wife into children, families, churches, and future generations. Therefore, our ministry is committed to helping couples build, strengthen, nurture, restore, and protect healthy marriages.
We seek to help couples pursue reconciliation, forgiveness, grace, covenant faithfulness, and spiritual growth whenever possible. We also recognize that individuals and families experiencing marital brokenness need the compassion, truth, grace, and support of the Church.
The Sanctity of Human Life and God’s Design
That every human life is created by God, has inherent value and dignity, and is worthy of respect and protection.
We believe that God intentionally created humanity, male and female, in His image and that God’s design for human identity, sexuality, marriage, and family is revealed in Scripture.
Because every person is created in the image of God, we are called to treat every individual with truth, dignity, compassion, grace, and love, regardless of their circumstances, background, or personal struggles.
The Power of Prayer
That prayer is a vital and powerful expression of our relationship with God.
We believe God invites His people to seek Him through prayer, trusting His wisdom, power, goodness, and perfect will. We believe prayer should be foundational to everything we do as a ministry, and we seek God’s direction, provision, wisdom, and blessing in every endeavor.
Forgiveness, Grace, Mercy, and Hope
That God is a God of forgiveness, grace, mercy, restoration, and hope.
We believe that no marriage, family, or individual is beyond the reach of God’s grace. Because we have received forgiveness through Christ, we are called to extend forgiveness, grace, mercy, and truth to others.
We believe that brokenness does not have to be the end of the story. Through Christ, there is hope for redemption, restoration, reconciliation, and new beginnings.
Our Commitment
Because these beliefs form the foundation of our ministry, Tataciksta Ministries is committed to building everything we do upon the truth of Scripture and the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Our marriage education, coaching, discipleship, retreats, leadership development, church partnerships, and community outreach are designed to help individuals, couples, families, and churches discover and live out God’s design for healthy relationships.
We believe healthy marriages strengthen families. Healthy families strengthen churches. Strong churches strengthen communities.
And healthy relationships can become a powerful avenue through which the Gospel is demonstrated and shared.
Our desire is to faithfully serve the Church by helping couples and families know God’s truth, experience His grace, grow in their relationships, and become a source of strength and encouragement to others.
Why Marriage is So Important
Marriage is a fundamental aspect of God's creation and redemptive plan. As man and woman are made in His image, they are entrusted with the incredible responsibility of raising the next generation and stewarding His creation. Moreover, they have the privilege of tangibly reflecting the image of God and representing the relationship and love that Christ has for His people. It is clear that God's meaning and purpose for marriage extends far beyond a mere personal relationship with a spouse.
Investing in marriages is crucial for building strong families, churches, and communities. By prioritizing our relationship with Christ personally and in our marriages, we can create a positive ripple effect that will impact future generations. We have the power to shift the cultural narrative surrounding marriage by investing in our relationships through attending conferences, marriage events, and participating in church marriage ministries. Don't underestimate the value of your marriage. It's worth investing in. By doing so, you're not only strengthening your own relationship, but you're also contributing to the foundation of your family, church, and community.
Strong Marriages = Strong Families = Strong Churches = Strong Communities
